We are currently supporting a leading energy and infrastructure service provider regarding a project manager FTTB position for the NE4-rollout in Darmstadt and surrounding.
Position: Project Manager FTTB/H
Location: Darmstadt, Germany, flexibility to work from home
Salary: €73,000 per year (paid over 13 monthly salaries)

You are responsible for the professional execution and coordination of construction projects in the field of telecommunications networks (network level 4) / in-house cabling, including building access routes.
You actively contribute to the technical implementation of residential and business customer connections within access and FTTx networks.
Managing and monitoring construction site activities in coordination with internal departments and external service providers is part of your role.
You ensure compliance with schedules, budgets, quality standards, and safety regulations. This includes coordinating and approving construction work completed on time and within budget.
Preparing and maintaining project documentation, progress reports, and billing records completes your area of responsibility.
Completed technical training as an IT systems technician (m/f/d), a technical degree, or a comparable qualification in the field of telecommunications.
Ideally, professional experience in in-house cabling, preferably within telecommunications and network construction.
Strong knowledge of fiber optic technology as well as relevant standards and regulations.
Confident use of MS Office and common project management tools.
Very good German language skills (equivalent to CEFR Level B2).
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

What you'll be doing:
A Construction Manager for overhead transmission lines (Freileitung) oversees planning, execution, and quality control of line construction projects in Germany. Responsibilities include coordinating subcontractors, managing schedules, ensuring compliance with national standards (e.g., VDE, DIN), and maintaining strict safety and environmental protection measures. The role requires supervising site activities, conducting inspections, resolving technical issues, and liaising with clients, authorities, and engineering teams. The manager prepares progress reports, controls budgets, and ensures timely delivery of all project phases. Strong leadership skills, technical expertise in high-voltage infrastructure, and familiarity with German regulations and permitting processes are essential for successful performance in this position.
