Lead Solution Manager – Open RAN / RAN Networks Location: Düsseldorf, Germany Working Model: Hybrid Start Date: Target start from 1st August Salary & Benefits: Highly competitive salary with a market-leading employee benefits scheme Languages: English essential, German advantageous Eligibility: EU passport required Opportunity Overview We are supporting a leading global telecoms technology vendor on a confidential search for an experienced Lead Solution Manager to support a major Open RAN programme with one of Germany’s leading mobile network operators. This is a senior customer-facing role focused mainly on pre-sales, solution management and technical customer engagement. The successful candidate will play an important role in explaining the vendor’s RAN/Open RAN solution, supporting customer discussions, and identifying opportunities to optimise and improve the overall RAN solution where appropriate. The position offers excellent visibility with senior stakeholders, including C-level customer contacts, and will act as a key link between the customer, the local project team and the vendor’s international R&D function at head office. Key Responsibilities Act as the main solution management and technical point of contact for the customer. Support pre-sales activity, technical presentations, workshops and solution discussions. Explain RAN and Open RAN solution capabilities to customer stakeholders. Work closely with R&D teams at head office to align customer needs with product and solution capability. Identify areas to optimise, enhance and improve the RAN solution. Maintain strong relationships with senior customer stakeholders and C-level contacts. Coordinate communication between local teams, customer stakeholders and international technical teams. Represent the business professionally in strategic, commercial and technical discussions. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will have a strong technical understanding of RAN networks and experience working in a senior customer-facing technical, solution management, pre-sales or solution architecture role. Candidates should have experience with major RAN vendors such as Nokia, Huawei or Ericsson. Experience in Open RAN environments would be highly advantageous, particularly with companies such as Mavenir, Rakuten Symphony or similar Open RAN vendors. Required Experience Strong technical knowledge of RAN networks. Experience in solution management, pre-sales, technical sales, solution architecture or a similar role. Background working with RAN solutions from Nokia, Huawei, Ericsson or similar vendors. Ability to explain complex technical topics clearly to customers. Experience managing senior stakeholders and customer relationships. Comfortable working with international R&D, product or engineering teams. Fluent English. EU passport holder. Based near Düsseldorf or willing to relocate. Advantageous Experience Open RAN project experience. Experience with Mavenir, Rakuten Symphony or similar Open RAN vendors. German language skills. Experience supporting major mobile operators. Previous experience in a fast-moving, start-up style or international vendor environment.
